The poem below is an example of  "Tanaga". Tanaga is Filipino poem consist of 4 lines with 5-7-5-7 syllable, with rhyme words at the end of each line in each stanza. 

      The poem is entitled "Nature of Life". It consist of 4 stanzas with a rhyme scheme of A-A-B-B in each stanza. In the first,second and the third stanza the imagery appeals to the sense of  sight, while the fourth stanza has no imagery. The figure of speech used in the first and the fourth stanza is Personification, second stanza is Simile and , in third stanza are Simile and Metaphor.



                               NATURE OF LIFE

                                                
                        Life is only once,
                    living worthly is a chance.
                      Live young, wild, and free,
                    value each time you can see.


                        Just like a river,
                    opportunities are there,
                        flowing and flowing,
                    but there is no returning.


                        It is a cycle,
                     it turns like a bicycle.
                        As it turns in ground,
                    life also turns up and down.


                        Love the life you had,
                     it is a gift from our God.
                        Before it will gone,
                     and regret what is not done.

Family Conflicts

             When I was young my family, were close together. My parents were always prepared and cooked for us. My brother and I were always played and do household chores together. We are living contented and happy.

            As I grew up, everyone and everything was change. My life was miserable. My brother and I were always have a fight and he not helping me doing household chores. He always went out with his peers and played whole day. My mother kept on telling me that I'm hardheaded which is not true and it made myself  to  argued with her. 

             There is a time that our house was very noisy because of my mother's mouth that keeps on shouting.

It is because of many household chores that should we done and my father was still sleeping, so it made her angry to us. The reason why my parents were always argue it is because of the money. 

             As a good daughter to them I want to help  in a simple way. In my everyday allowance, I will saved money for my project so that my parents will appreciate my effort, and it makes happy for them and from now on I will help in doing house hold chores.

             "You can't have peace if you can't forgive".

      I love my mother and father, because my mother is there for me and my three brothers. My father works for on my family. 

     But sometimes my mother and father on fight about financial problem. Because my father's salary is not enough. Our family's need could not be provided.

     Because my father was very young and so I made a decision. I will help my father in his work to earn money to my family and to my three brothers. In that way I will get my peace in my family. Because my mama and papa could settle the problem.

    Peace is important to our family. Because if you don't have peace in the house, your family will be unhappy.

When I was in my childhood life, my little brother and me were always fighting because he always stole my toys without asking permission from me. I don't want him to borrow my toys. My mother talked to me and taught that was bad. After that, I learned how to share my toys to my brother. Then, in that case my brother and I are not fighting anymore.


Peace takes people away from trouble. It also make us love one another. Peace is a symbol of love and unity. Without peace, we are all in trouble.


To achieve peace, we need to forgive. It also important to gain more friends. The most important is to love all people around you to achieve peace.


Peace is very important to everyone, because without peace we will not able to succeed. Without peace, people will fight. Peace makes us HAPPY.

          One day in my house,argued with my brother because he stole the toy of my nephew because he like   toy.I got it from him but he did not give it.I tried to get from him to return the toy to my neph      
          My nephew was crying because he did not return the toy from him,lately I convince to get the toy because my nephew was crying,and my brother he's crying because the toy I get from him.
          I told him it is bad to stole things to others and I told him to stop crying.
  
          In my opinion the definition of peace is the very important to the problem is solve. 
          To achieve peace each people have freedom and understanding.
          For me peace is a good relationship in the family and each other people they have good family and peace.

              Since I was young, I always saw my mother and father arguing because of money. My father before was a drunkard and has no permanent work. There was even a time he was imprisoned.
            
           When he was freed from jail, he went to Bukidnon and started a new life. He started a business. He sent out money to support us. But as time passed by, there was a news that my father had a mistress. He failed to send us money those times. My mother was angry and hated him so much.

             My father denied these all. When he went home in Davao, they had a fight. Until now, they have misunderstanding. My mother hated him and she wanted that they will be separated.

              I want peace. Peace wherein, my mother and father instead of arguing and fighting , will help each other and talk how to improve our livelihood; where my father will stop being drunkard and be faithful and loyal to us.

              Where we will have a family bonding every week or once a month because since I was young I never experience that we have a family bonding with the whole family.

              For now, I always pray to God that my family will be whole again. I talk to my father everytime he went home from Bukidnon and when he called on phone. I gave him good advices and talk heart to heart. I will avoid that my mother get angry. I know its hard for her to forgive but I will not surrender.

            We all know that we cannot achieve peace if anger rules our heart and we do not know to forgive. To forgive is not easy but I always hope that my mother and father will forgive each other and will start a new beginning with respect, faith. hope and love.

      When I was an elementary student,I have classmates and some of them are my friend, but I have one classmate who became my close friend because she has a good attitude.Sometimes when I have a problem she helped me by giving me advice.I liked her because she understood my attitude.Sometimes I quarreled her by cracking jokes to her.

      One day in our room,my friend and I were fighting because of one thing that we could not understand.After our fight,we have no communication at all.The day passed by I was so lonely and sad because we have no communication at all.

      Peace is never wish.If you try your best to achieve peace,you can get it.And don't surrender even if you didn't achieve peace to the person you haven't understand each one of you.

      In order for you to achieve peace,you must be patients,friendly and kind all the time.Do not be too proud of yourself.

      We all know that the peace comes from within was people  because peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise.

 When I was young, there was a cocflict happened between my  mother and father because of jealousy. I did'nt expect that my mother and father will be separated because of that incident.

My brother and I were forced to choose between my moher and my father. I chose my father while my brother chose my mother. I was with my father for weeks.

What I know about peace is understanding to each other. Peace can rule a nation and it helps to achieve the changes that we want.

To achieve the piece, we should talk to each other without anger and hatred. As what my father did, he talked my mother about their problemand settled it.

According to group 4A, "You can't have peace, if you can't forgive. You must forgive those people who had sinned to you. Ask forgiveness to the people whom you have sinned.
